How to write Business-to-Business Advertisements
Business-to-business firms are those firms that sell products and services among themselves. The selling is done to a client of other company, who might use the product for intermediate purposes or so. The advertisements relating to B2B companies should not only generate interest but it should also be simply out standing despite the tough competition. In the market, there are several firms who produce the same stuff and they reach out for clients with whom they want to do business. So finding the right client isn’t a big deal, but actually getting hold of them is.
In written content, use the name of the company in the first sentence; preferably first word. It is not pleasing to start with ‘we’. Following it, give a brief introduction about the company. In today’s busy world people don’t have time to waste so deliver the message right away. Using catchy adjectives will do the trick. The sentence should be framed so that the client knows about the company, what it does and how it is unique from others. Pose questions before creating the writing material, like what is that the customer will expect and do they demand high quality. Don’t hesitate to use ‘you ’ very often. The reader will feel that he is directly being referenced and it will be easier for him to relate to.
Play with customer’s psychology. Understand the difficulties faced by them and then show them how the company or the company’s product can solve it. Call of action can be given then and offer to clear their doubts. It should be more than just a helpline. The action should be really immediate. Simply don’t let the client slip away.
After the initial writing, write in detail about the product or service provided. This is in-dept information for those concerned about your company’s product. Point out the advantages of using them. Write them in a hierarchical form with numbering or bullets. If writing short paragraphs, strong sub-titles can be used as heading of individual paragraphs. Again, using adjectives will be good.
A good amount of entertainment factor should be added. This will retain the interest of the customer and will not distract him. But if lots of it is used, it will simply become shabby. It’s a nice idea to use product noun as a verb along with other adjectives.
Submit website and advertisements to search engines. Millions of people use it everyday to find what they need. If the website is search engine optimized, it will surely get lots of traffic. The name of the company and keywords should densely populate the website content. Make it a compulsion for the visitor to go through the advertisement before moving on to the registration or payment process. Some B2B websites don’t allow adding an email address or URL in the advertisement. They can be tracked in by actually spelling out dot or at in the email address or website link.
Once the customer is lured, they should be maintained. Product should be delivered on time. Quality should be maintained. Once it is done, not only will they start trusting the company but also at the same time they will spread the word about the company. They will advertise for free. Their experience with the company will motivate others to join the bandwagon.
I just wanted to share this story with you as it highlights what is going on in the internet right now. There are so many scams and people wanting to take money off you but not giving you anything of value in return. Which is why I am happy to share my internet for business tips with you. The thing is this, making money on the internet is fairly straightforward and easy when you know how. I have been doing this since 2006 and using my first site that cost me the equivalent of $54 USD or £35 and I have generated around £60,000 or $93,167 part-time!! I do the work once and then let the internet work its magic! I do actually do work to generate the income so be prepared for SOME work!
This story is absolutely true and shows what can happen if you don't have the right help. Recently a friend of mine desperately wanted to get involved in internet selling / marketing or with an internet business having told him my story of how when I have done the work, the internet is my 24/7 shop, which when I get up some mornings has taken hundreds, sometimes thousands of pounds. I genuinely would have helped him, however, little did I know he had already become involved without taking advice from anyone. The story goes like this. This guy was desperate to move his life forward and as such was in dire need of income coming in having previously enjoyed a fairly high income with great regular income. It was no longer there and his income / lifestyle was changing dramatically. The issue was this. Because he became desperate to generate an internet income, he rushed into buying an off the shelf website, supposedly supported by experts! What came with this was basically all the tools to become an affiliate of Amazon!! I was shocked. In fairness, the website he purchased was easy to turn it into a professional looking website very quickly with the tools it offered in the back office. The sum total of the cost of this site was.....WAIT FOR IT!! $6,000 dollars. This included some training thrown in but basically to become an affiliate for Amazon and a domain name. He developed the site for it to look absolutely superb, however, when I chatted to him, he even had the realisation, ‘why would someone come to me when they can go straight to Amazon? I knew this but I couldn’t do anything about it as he had already paid and set up his site. Whilst there is money to be made in affiliate schemes like this, his whole business was reliant on people buying through Amazon.
I therefore, then began to teach him other methods to generate income and also to look at traffic sources. The only problem being was that with Google, he was unable to add adwords to generate traffic to a website solely promoting affiliates! Adsense didn’t really work that well and that just left him with the Amazon scheme. The other mistake he made was becoming an affiliate in the US when he was based in the UK. He knew nothing at all about the US market. I guess he probably fancied in his later years moving to the US or something. The whole point is that it’s a world wide web allowing you to work anywhere in the world nowadays on the internet, but you need to understand your market!! You have to be absolutely clear about the market you are going into and also be sure you understand the areas you are trying to sell into. This is why I have now started a business for internet e-newsletter where I can share my knowledge and experience both online and offline! I am also going to be offering mentoring on all of this for both online and offline businesses. I went from hardly any income due to a serious injury, to enjoying a great monthly income by adapting simple online and offline strategies in my businesses. While recovering from serious injury I studied businesses, marketing and many other areas of wealth generation and internet for the business. I am now pulling it together to help you do the same. I am totally passionate about business and love to see businesses thrive and grow. This is not a get rich quick scheme, it's about giving you strategies that work both online and offline and also about offering you the opportunity for me to coach you and mentor you to get the results you desire. This is all about how to integrate your net business.
One thing that drives me insane with small businesses when they create marketing documents, websites or on their facebook pages and use absolutely shocking images! Why???? Good photography is Good Marketing and Good PR. You MUST have a great photo of yourself, your business premises and your products. Without good images your website will look unprofessional and may not show your products in their best light. I run a photography business alongside my business mentoring and find that most of my business clients are happy to use poor imagery. When I talk to them and tell them about specific examples of when good imagery has got clients to move forward they start to think seriously about it.
Good digital images shouldn't cost a great deal from a professional photographer and when you weigh up the cost of poor imagery, poor business image and your website not looking its Sunday best, then you NEED to make THAT investment. I recently photographed two young men for images they required to go into the Spotlight magazine. For those not familiar with Spotlight it is for budding actors/actresses and film stars! Well a few minutes and some very SIMPLE & BASIC images, got one of them a part in a film! Now I'm not suggesting this is how it works every time, but to get business or get the 'part' you must absolutely have great images on your website and marketing materials. I can show you hundreds of poor images and website (including those of photographers!) which should not happen at all in the current 'digital age'.
If you need help or advice on your imagery, please feel free to contact me!

As an experienced business owner, who has also worked in a number of small businesses and also previously been a business bank manager with a large high street bank in the UK, it has been in the most recent months that I have learned massive amounts about business, marketing and customers. During difficult economic times, like those being experienced right now across the world, most people spend most of their time working in their business to try and keep their heads above water and work extremely hard trying to survive. This is totally 'screwed up' thinking which is absolutely exhausting. <br />
Most business owners would be better off stepping out of their business and taking time to look at things objectively and looking at how their business works and how best to work to their strengths. This could be a complete audit of your business systems which could include marketing, customer acquisition, customer sales processes, the actual value of your clients, ways to leverage your existing client bank, reducing costs, and generally being more efficient about what you do. Having researched this area greatly, I have found that this is the best way to produce a great, efficient and successful business. Some business owners I have worked with do not know what their turnover is, they don't know their costs, they don't understand cash flow, they don't understand the value of their clients, the products or services they offer and worse of all make the fatal mistake all businesses make which can have the biggest impact on them as a business.
They always go after the new money or the new clients. ALWAYS! The reality is that the money is in the 'list'! I.e. their existing client 'list' and their existing client relationships. This is one of the most neglected areas I have ever come across when looking at businesses that are struggling. As they chase the new clients and the new money, the existing clients get neglected. The result.....their clients go to someone else for something cheaper, better service, to feel loved or whatever. Ultimately they feel neglected so it's easy to come up with a reason. Most business plans or marketing plans I see all talk about the new money and new clients. Very rarely do they make mention to what they already have and sit down and look at ways to leverage those clients. I have seen businesses leverage their clients with great success and subsequently had so much business they couldn't handle it all!!! Now wouldn't that be nice? Following this article I hope that if nothing else that you remember these words, 'If you don't look after your customers, someone else WILL! I am also a great believer in where possible, do the work 'extremely well' once and it will repay you for a lifetime!!
I have been in the process of bringing all my business experiences together and distilling this into an eBook which will be supported by email to help businesses devise strategies and find ways to utilise what they currently have to be more successful and robust. I genuinely believe that all businesses can be fantastic and believe this can be achieved be with focus, strategy and purpose! your business success.
